Well-being 2023: Strategizing and Planning for Success

It’s hard to comprehend that 2023 is just around the corner and we’ve already begun strategy and planning sessions with our clients. This year prioritizing employees’ mental and physical health will be critical to keeping them happy, healthy, and engaged. It’s also equally important to make sure benefits are accessible to all, whether onsite, remote, or hybrid.

At Vivacity, we know that it’s more than just providing a program that supports mental and physical health that keeps employees engaged in the workplace. Our model has always been to lead with a consultative approach through planning and strategizing company initiatives. In many cases, we gain the opportunity to hear what employees are thinking through surveys and focus groups (this is the type of work we live for!). There are a few key things that we’ve heard loudly through feedback over the last year that we wanted to share:

  • Flexibility, autonomy, and meeting employees where they are at in all aspects of their benefits and roles is a top priority.

  • Employees don’t just want added benefits like wellness, they are now prioritizing them when considering their current or new roles.

  • Working remotely has forever changed the way people work and live – they’ve found time for things like exercise and other self-care activities and are making it clear that they don’t want to give those things up when they return to the office.

  • People are craving connection and are feeling burnt out because they are lacking ways to fully connect with their colleagues. Finding creative ways to bring people together again or offering ‘surprise and delight’ moments can have a meaningful impact.

  • Employees are quietly quitting because that aren’t feeling connected to the broader purpose, or they feel like they aren’t ‘going anywhere.’ There is a desire for access to career development paths and visualizing next steps.

For an organization to thrive it must invest in its greatest asset; it’s people. We understand that most companies are working with tight budget constraints so finding programs that can integrate with existing company initiatives and cover a broad range of needs at a reasonable price is imperative. We’d love to help! We offer many in-house consultative solutions to support the ever-changing needs of workplace well-being and partner with best-in-class vendors to offer programs that support a broad range of initiatives. Let us support you in planning your 2023 together!
